This unique workshop is the first step towards creating their own graphic novel! So you can either let them completely muck up your house and bounce off the walls…or send them over to the Library to learn a new skill or hone one they may already be working on. And if you all recall, Friday, March 10 is a Teacher In-Service Day and Weston Public School kids are absolutely free from their regularly-scheduled school day. This workshop is geared for kids in grades 4 – 9. Jonathan will explain the elements of a story, panel planning/creating thumbnail sketches, penciling and inking a graphic novel, and he coaches students through creating their own graphic novel page. He is also the co-founder of the Boston Kids Comics Fest: and has a passion for teaching children how to write and draw their own comics. Send your middle-aged (what? middle grade? hmmm) student to Weston Public Library on Friday, March 10 from 3:30-5:30 pm for a special graphic novel workshop with Jonathan Todd who is the author/illustrator of Timid, a forthcoming middle-grade graphic novel.
